With a background and Degree in Visual Communication Design I approach each job with a brief and target audience in mind.  After meeting to establish scope and parameters, a thorough investigation of concepts, styles and colours are presented with further developments to follow.  When the design and planning is in place, execution of the mural on the wall can be done as effectively as possible.

I also have a number of years experience in the Painting and Decorating Industry.  This is important because I ensure each wall surface is properly prepared and correct paint systems are used to preserve the mural.  After all what is the point of pouring a heap of love, energy, money and time into something that's not going to last? 

Steps involved:

• Moss & mould treatment where necessary
• Scraping & sanding of loose particles 
• Water blasting or softwash cleaning
• Priming (oil or acrylic based)
• Drawing up of design
• Base colours blocked out
• 2 final topcoats to make the colours sing
• Graffiti Guard/Uracryl laminate if required

Street Art is a great way to interact with the public however measures are taken to ensure safety for all including:

• keeping a tidy work area
• orange cones
• barrier tape/pedestrian barrier where necessary
• compliance with work site safety and local council regulations
